These terms set the rules for using Squad Surge, a free browser game operated by Squad Surge.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Squad Surge, operated by Squad Surge. By accessing or playing the game, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. For questions, contact the address listed on this page once published.

Free entertainment service

Squad Surge is provided as free entertainment. It is supported by advertising. The game may show short ads at natural breaks, such as before a run starts, between sectors after a perk choice, when the pause menu opens, or when the Armory opens. Ads do not play during active gameplay. Availability of ads, rewarded ads, game features, or any particular content is not guaranteed.

Progress is stored locally in the browser on the device you use. There is no account service and no cloud-save promise. You are responsible for maintaining your browser and device. Clearing localStorage, using private browsing, changing device, or changing browser profile may remove or separate local progress.

Optional rewarded ads

Some optional rewarded ads may offer in-game-only rewards. Participation is always opt-in and includes a “No thanks” option. Available rewards may include Second Wind, Double Coins, and Supply Drop. Second Wind can revive a wiped squad once per run; Double Coins can double coins earned in that run; Supply Drop can add starting supplies for the next run.

Rewarded-ad rewards have no monetary value. They are not currency, property, wages, credit, or a financial product. They cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, sold, exchanged, or used outside Squad Surge. We may change, limit, suspend, or remove an optional rewarded-ad opportunity or reward where permitted by law.

Acceptable use

Use Squad Surge lawfully and respectfully. Do not interfere with the service, its advertising, or other users’ access. In particular, do not use automated scripts, bots, click farms, emulators, or other automated means to interact with ads; do not manipulate, encourage, induce, or create fraudulent ad clicks or impressions; and do not use cheating tools, modified clients, injected code, or network interference that disrupts the service or falsely alters gameplay, rewards, records, or advertising activity.

Do not attempt to probe, damage, overload, reverse engineer, bypass security measures, scrape protected assets at scale, or use the service for an unlawful purpose. We may restrict or end access where we reasonably believe these terms, advertising rules, applicable law, or service integrity have been violated.

Intellectual property and licences

Squad Surge, including its game code, design, text, visual presentation, and original project assets, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for rights expressly granted by law, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, publicly exploit, or create derivative works from the service without permission from Squad Surge.

The game also includes materials used under third-party licences. Character animation rig and clips use the Universal Animation Library by Quaternius under CC0 1.0. Selected props are from Poly Haven under CC0 1.0. three.js is used under the MIT licence. Anton and Figtree are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Those licences apply to their respective materials and do not grant rights in the full Squad Surge service.

Disclaimers

Squad Surge is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every browser or device, preservation of local progress, availability of advertising, or a particular game result. Gameplay may change as we update balance, content, technical features, or advertising implementation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squad Surge and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, loss of goodwill, or interruption arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Squad Surge. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Age and parental guidance

Squad Surge is intended for people aged 13 and older, or younger users with parental guidance where permitted by law. The game contains stylized combat and may show advertising from third parties. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors and managing browser and advertising privacy settings.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the service, legal requirements, or advertising arrangements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its updated date.
