Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Squad Surge stores, what advertising partners may collect, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to Squad Surge, operated by Squad Surge. Squad Surge is a free browser game supported by advertising. This policy is written to explain, in plain English, how information is handled when you visit the site or play the game. If you have a privacy question or request, contact the address listed on this page once published.
What we store on your device
Squad Surge does not require an account. We do not ask you to create a username, provide a password, submit a profile, or give us your name, postal address, phone number, or payment information. The game stores progress in your browser’s localStorage on the device and browser you use. That local save can include coins, Armory upgrade levels, best score, best distance, best sector, run totals, bosses defeated, Daily Run information, tutorial state, and settings such as audio, quality, screen shake, damage numbers, reduced motion, and Blood & gore preference.
LocalStorage is browser storage, not a cloud save. We do not receive this game-progress record as part of normal play. If you clear browser or site storage, use private browsing, change browser profiles, or switch devices, the save may be removed or unavailable. You can reset progress through the game settings or clear site data through your browser controls.
Information we collect directly
We do not intentionally collect personal data directly through the game’s local save. Our site may receive limited technical information necessary to deliver the website, such as server logs generated by the hosting provider. We do not use the game to collect account profiles, financial information, precise location, contacts, or the content of your device. If you voluntarily email us, we receive the information you include in that message, including your email address, and use it to respond to you, investigate a report, or handle your request.
Please do not send sensitive personal information in a bug report or feedback email. If you contact us about a privacy request, we may need enough information to understand and respond to the request; we will use that information for that purpose.
Advertising, cookies, and similar technology
Squad Surge is supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and/or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and/or other sites. Advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies to provide, measure, limit, personalize, and report on advertising.
Depending on the ad partner and your choices, information processed by those partners may include IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language settings, approximate location inferred from IP address, advertising identifiers, page and ad interactions, and information about visits to this and other websites. Web beacons are small technical elements that can help measure whether content or an ad was displayed or interacted with. We do not control the independent privacy practices of third-party vendors.
You can learn more in Google’s page, How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Ads Settings and, where applicable, through YourAdChoices. These choices may not remove all advertising; they change whether ads are personalized. Your browser can also be configured to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect advertising preferences or site features.
Consent choices in Europe
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we use a Google-certified consent management platform where required. It presents choices about consent for advertising-related data processing and storage. You can review or change those choices later through the Privacy settings link in the site footer. Your choices may affect the type of advertising shown, but they do not make gameplay unavailable.
US state privacy rights
Residents of certain US states may have rights to know about personal information processed about them, request access or deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of certain processing such as the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where applicable, use the Privacy settings link in the footer to exercise an opt-out choice for advertising-related sale or sharing. You may also contact us at the address listed on this page once published. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify a request in a manner appropriate to the information involved.
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. The terms “sale” and “sharing” can have broader legal definitions that include certain advertising disclosures. This is why the footer privacy controls are available where applicable.
How we use information
We use information we receive directly through email to respond to correspondence, diagnose technical problems, protect the site, and improve the game. Advertising partners use information under their own policies for functions such as ad delivery, frequency management, measurement, fraud prevention, personalization where permitted, and reporting. We do not use your local game save to build a named advertising profile.
Data retention and security
Local game data stays in your browser until you remove it or the browser removes it. We retain emails and related support records only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or meet legal obligations. Advertising partners determine their own retention under their policies and applicable law.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the service, but you should understand that internet transmission and browser storage carry risk. Protect your device and browser profile, and do not email sensitive information to the contact address.
Children
Squad Surge is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact the address listed on this page once published so we can review and delete it where appropriate. Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of online services and advertising settings.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the site, advertising arrangements, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use after an update is subject to the posted policy. Questions, privacy requests, and concerns can be sent to the address listed on this page once published.
